The Samsung Tablet 10.1

Samsung has provided quality electronic products for decades, and has provided an exceptional addition to their lineup with the Samsung Tablet 10.1. This is a relatively new tablet PC on the market, having only been introduced in June 2011. Users are already talking about how it will be a heavy competitor for the iPad, and it does have some attributes that give it a slight edge over the iPad, which we'll discuss here.
What the Samsung Tablet 10.1 does exceptionally well for its growing following is offer a good quality computer tablet that's competitive with the iPad, at around the same price.
Samsung is providing some very unique features that give their clients an edge and make it worthwhile considering them. The most impressive are: it's a little thinner than the iPad, it's a little lighter in weight, it runs on a processor that's faster, and (this is a big one) it runs Flash!
Allow me to explain about each of those features in turn:
Flash - Of all the reviews, the fact that the Samsung Tab runs flash is a BIG plus. Apparently the biggest competitor of the Tab does not, and this has been a big thorn in the side for a lot of users. Lots of things use flash these days to operate all sorts of applications on the internet, and if a tablet doesn't have this, then the application will not operate the same.
Dual-Core Processor - The Galaxy Tab uses the Tegra 1 as its processor, making this digital tablet lightning quick. Combine this with the use of flash, and it will do almost everything a laptop will do. Some users have even mentioned that they're ready to replace their laptops with the Tab computer tablet.
Screen - This pc tablet has a 10.1" screen that's high-resolution! It's hi-def, 1280 x 800 pixel screen, making it the best resolution so far on the market. Add this to the fact that it's a widescreen, and the picture seems larger than it really is. Color is brilliant and bright.
Really the only drawback for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer that I am aware of is something that was mentioned a few times. Apparently the keyboard can sometimes be slow to respond. This seems to be worked out when you use the Android keyboard instead of the Samsung keyboard.
If you're looking for a newer, sleeker, more modern replacement to your laptop, or if you want to consider some other alternatives for the other tablet devices on the market, be sure to check out the Samsung Tablet 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tablet Features Of The Galaxy Tab

The craze of having a good extra-large iPad tablet isn't needed, particularly with the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab from the famous world-class manufacturer Samsung. This tablet permits any purpose you might possible have simply a laptop computer or a phone. One of the benefits of this unique, the 7-inch touch-screen tablet makes it good looking and at the same time you can do anything that you may want to do, without holding something back especially when you are traveling.

The wireless features about the Samsung Galaxy Tab are amazing and the best part would be its multitasking features. Regardless of whether you have Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, or even Verizon, you can nonetheless use the SGT. Of course, different providers will modify the quality of voice service, but this tablet is built for even the best service provider.

Besides just picture and text messaging, the Galaxy Tab has 2 built-in camcorders. There is a larger camera on the back, what's best for pictures, yet a smaller camera was made in the front, therefore video chatting is easily possible with it. Skype is a new craze, and the tablet possesses an application, which allows that you run Skype, therefore, you won't ever have to be away from family members, friends, or an office building conference call.

Since the Samsung Galaxy Tablet is based on Android, Google apps are provided. You'll never have to go without Google search, maps, or YouTube. In addition, a variety of applications can be purchased on the Android software marketplace. An application offered includes the much-needed Navigation service, which allows you to definitely cancel out one more necessary device to carry close to. The application is a support, which you pay monthly for, but it is constantly with you. This way, with all the Samsung Galaxy tablet, all you need is one system - it's a crossbreed between a laptop, telephone, GPS, and Mp3 music player all-in-one.

For tunes and video enthusiasts, the Samsung tablet also includes a digital media player. There is a 2GB internal memory about the phone, but the micro SD card slot can also be available, and the SGT features a 16GB micro sd card already.

iPad 3 Release Dates, Expected Features and What Not to Expect

Rumours surrounding the iPad 3's expected features and release date are once again doing the rounds. This time Apple rumour mongers get a new lease with an alleged casing photo leak.

What to Expect and What not to Expect?

The photo clearly depicts the back-housing of the next iPad (presumably the iPad 3 or iPad HD). The image is courtesy of Repair Labs Blog, which states the back-housing on iPad 3 will be similar to the one on previous model.

Though, expect a larger battery, slightly revamped logic board, new cameras, and a different screen. The rumour mills so far have been consistent with the leaked images, which give us a semblance of hope and belief on what to expect from the most-awaited gadget this year.

Sources close to Apple have already hinted that the new iPad will go dynamic with double resolution Retina display (a whopping 2048 x 1536 pixels), while the device probably will resemble its predecessor in looks. However, expect the new tablet to be a millimetre thicker in comparison overall.

Also on the cards is the A6 CPU and the iPad 3 is expected to flaunt a significantly powerful GPU, which is consistent with our expectations. But the big surprise is that the A6 will not feature a quad-core chip and instead will retain dual-core from the original configuration.

Previous stories about the iPad 3 featuring a quad-core processor and an LTE capability onboard clearly seem inaccurate for a couple of valid reasons. Primarily, a quad-core redesign would incur additional costs and time that could further delay the release of the most-anticipated tablet.

As for 4G LTE connectivity, Qualcomm's chipset will see the light of day only in the second or third quarter of 2012, which in effect could delay Apple's iPad 3 if it's adopted.

As far as the release date goes, a February announcement is unlikely. So, what is the catch? Consider last year's iPad 2 release in early March that bided some time in finding resellers before hitting the stores and it is likely that Apple would repeat a similar feat this year.

Release Dates Quagmire

Besides, Apple has a policy of following upgrades and releases promptly on a periodic basis.

There is one key point to note. This year February falls into a leap year with 29 days, and the 29th falls on a Wednesday (the day on which Apple has announced every other iPad). The iPad 2 was announced on March 2, 2011, and made available the following Friday (March 11th).

So, expect history repeating itself. Especially as far as Apple's releases are concerned, there is always a pattern and you know what to expect.

Computer Hardware Components and Accessories

Computers are made of different components or parts, collectively known as PC hardware. Some of the main hardware PC units include CPU, mouse, display screen monitor, hard disk, keyboard, CD drive, etc. You can buy a computer from a branded company or purchase an assembled model through a professional computer software person. Many a times, when some parts of a computer get corrupted, you can also buy separate components from any online or offline computer dealers.

Likewise computer hardware parts also do include novel items such as scanners, sound cards, internet modems and even digital cameras. But, every computer has individual properties like RAM memory, CPU model details, etc which may vary from other computers.

Let us study about some of the most important computer hardware parts:

* CPU - This part is the brain of the computer. It is known as Central Processing Unit and works as a processor. The most popular processors are manufactured by Intel popular as the Pentium Chip model. Intel processors are widely used all over the world by most of the computer manufacturing companies.

* Mouse - This hardware is essential for desktop models as navigational object, to click on varied options, selecting different objects and accessing necessary information on the computer screen. There are two main buttons in the mouse, to be used to access info. Nowadays, you can find interesting types of mouse in the market such as laser mouse or ball mouse. But, they all serve the same purpose to help access computerised info from the CPU.

* Hard Disk - This is a device that helps in storing data. The all-round performance of any computer actually depends on the speed of its hard disk. Higher rotational speed of the hard disk enables fast and high speed performance by that particular computer.

* RAM - It is also known as Random Access Memory, which aids in storing of temporary information in the CPU. When you switch off the computer, such temporary info files are erased. The optimum performance of the computer also depends on the size of its RAM.

* Keyboard - This is one of the most important part in computer hardware. Keyboard helps users to enter specific commands by punching of alphabets, numbers or signs. There are other function keys like Control, Alter, delete, F keys, Page up, Page down, etc in the keyboard. There are a total of 101 keys in any standard keyboard, and designed in such a way so as to make typing faster and easier.

Other additional computer hardware includes scanner, joystick, external drive, printer and servers. Buying individual computer hardware parts can be a tedious task as there are variety of selection models, styles and designs to choose from. It is best to gather some basic first hand info about the specific computer hardware part that you intend to buy.

You can choose to buy from online computer hardware retail shops and other hardware dealers. Online directories can help you sort a list of potential manufacturers or retailers who are genuine and trustworthy.

BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 Release

Virtually Everybody in possession of a BlackBerry PlayBook is anxiously waiting and anticipating the release of the new 2.0 Software that has been said will fix many of the issues that have plagued the PlayBook and add additional functionality to Research In Motion's tablet as well. Although no official date has been released to the public from Research In Motion itself many sources over the internet are saying that the release date of the new 2.0 software for the BlackBerry PlayBook is February 17th 2012.

With the release of the new 2.0 PlayBook software comes the integration of Android app support which will of course mean a whole new slew of applications that will be available on the BlackBerry PlayBook. This will greatly help to fight one of the biggest complaints by consumers that there aren't near as many apps available for BlackBerry products as its rivals IOS, and Android. Beta testing revealed that these Android apps preformed great on the PlayBook in terms of graphical and functional aspects.

BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 will also see the addition of RIM's BlackBerry App World, with the experience being virtually seamless for the end user. PlayBook 2.0 will also allow you to create folders, it will have native email, calendar and contact support which will make for a very compelling upgrade package that should have been part of the original launch.

As an addition on top of the android support, and added apps that were missed the first time around, you will now have a video store that is powered by Rovi, where you will be able to download and rent TV shows and movies. These rented or bought shows will be able to be output at 1080p via HDMI, and can use this content on any other device running the roxio software. In addition you will have the ability to turn your BlackBerry Smartphone into a keyboard or mouse to navigate your BlackBerry PlayBook, using the BlackBerry Bridge Remote Control feature.

Docs to Go will also see an improvement coming with the release of the new PlayBook software 2.0. With the additional support to edit PowerPoint files, enhanced formula support, and the capability to embed images which will be unique features of the PlayBook it should create an incredible tablet not only for personal use but for business use as well.

All in All RIM clearly sees that they will need to pull up their socks and start to stay competitive in a market that demands such actions. It is clearly seen here with the upcoming release of the OS 2.0 for the PlayBook that RIM has finally stepped up their game, making it one step closer to filling in the hole they have unfortunately dug for themselves.

Keep Computer Data Backup Files In A Secure Location

You just cannot predict when something is going to go wrong with your computer or one of the files you have stored there, and when it does happen, any information you have stored is going to be lost, usually forever. It is always recommended that computer data backup files be kept separately where it can be recouped in event of loss.

Security for your computer data backup information may not always imply security from theft or intrusion. It may mean to protect it from similar damage that has affected your main file system. If you store backup files on the same computer hard drive as the original files, if something happens to the hard drive, your backup files will be lost as well.

Although you may believe that since you have not had a problem with your computer data backup is a waste of time. Just like wearing your seat belt. If you have never had a car accident, you probably still wear it just in case. There are numerous ways the information on your computer can be lost or corrupted, including system failure, and when that happens your life, as you know it, is lost.

What Files Need Backed Up And Where

Generally speaking, you should look at the information stored on your computer and determine which files cannot be recreated if destroyed or no longer accessible. The files you mark for computer data backup may include financial information, family photographs, music you bought and downloaded as well personal projects and email address books.

Whether you decided to use disks, CDs or another form of external device for computer data backup is not really important, rather making sure you will have the means to recover the files from that source available later on, is. Looking back a few shorts years, every computer has at least one drive for three and half inch floppy disks. Not anymore. If you backed up your information on your old computer with these disks and your new computer does not have that drive installed, your filed are still inaccessible.

You may also consider looking for online computer data backup services, where using a secure file transfer protocol (FTP) site, your files, which may include the entire content of your hard drive, can be transferred and securely stored for easy retrieval. Saving your files locally may work, but in event of a disaster could still be lost along with everything else.

A Checklist for Used Computers

It is very important to check a used computer thoroughly before buying it as it may lead to problems in the future. A hard drive will not show any outward signs but may be deteriorating. The same way the needle can suddenly slip and can cause scratches on the disc ultimately leading to memory loss as used computers can fail any time. If they are checked, the faults which may occur can be known. Let us first see the possible faults which may occur while purchasing a used computer.

Hard disk failures can happen due to heavy wear and tear over a period of time. The read and write heads of a hard disk are used to retrieve or recode data stored on the hard disk with the help of a disk platter rotating at a high speed. Over a period of time the risk of failure or malfunction of disk increases. Faulty sectors of the hard disks can be found out only if a full surface scan is done on the used computer. The scanning time depends on the capacity and size of the hard disk of the used computer. Many skip this procedure due to the time consuming process of scanning the whole disk and end up purchasing a used computer with a faulty sector.

Monitors need to be checked for any faults. The malfunctioning of a monitor is called a “dry joint” which results in the monitor not working after getting warmed. This can be checked only if the monitor is made to work for at least 20 to 30 minutes after switching on the computer.

Next is to look for any possibilities of the central processing unit getting freezed. Normally all the central processing units have a fan and heat sink for keeping the unit cool. Over a period of time the fans may not work properly due to the accumulation of dust and dirt resulting in over heating of the central processing unit and even leading to stopping from functioning. While buying a used computer the fan needs to be checked and if any abnormal sound is heard, it is not good for purchase.

The used computer may have a higher possibility of getting crashed and freezed due to the usage of the operating system for a good number of years. There may be a cache or RAM fault due to the over exposure leading to loss of data. To increase the performance of the computer and to avoid crashing, the operating system of the used computer can be reinstalled with a new operating system or a fresh one.

While checking the used computers for any faults, it is good to disconnect the network connection if any present before performing the tests. Also it is advisable to check the drives like the CD or DVD by opening and closing them and also playing something on the drives to see how they work. Monitors of the used computers can be checked for the resolution and brightness by trying different options of color, settings and so on. To check the hard disk size the CMOS setup can be gone through and to verify the speed of the processor, cache and RAM the pause button is pressed when it appears on the screen during the booting process. To check the booting process, the computer can be turned on and off a few times and seen how it responds. Checking should be done to see if all the passwords are erased before purchasing a used computer.

6 Tips To Best Computer Buy

Buying a new computer can become a tedious task these days as many of us tend to get confused or simply don’t know how to choose the best computer from the wide range available. Here are 6 tips to best computer buy:

1. The first and logical thing to do is determine exactly where you will be using your computer from. Do you plan to use it at home, or do you travel with business often? After you answer this question you know if you want a desktop computer or a notebook.

2. The next thing to do is determine your budget. There is a wide range of both desktop and notebook computers to choose from so they can cover any budget. Desktop computers can cost anywhere between $500 and $2000 (Note that many sites don’t list the monitor in the cost, so read carefully before clicking the checkout button), while notebooks between $800 - $2000+. Decide on how much money are you willing to spend and continue to the next step.

3. Now it’s time to determine what will you be using the computer for. Are you buying it for your kid to play video games, watch movies or do you plan to use it for work or internet surfing? Of course you can buy a computer and use it for all of those things but for example if you plan to use it just for business then you needn’t buy a computer with the best video card on the market.

4. Are you going to store photos, Microsoft Office documents, mp3 files, video files etc.? You need to think about this to determine what hard drive your computer needs. If you’ll be using it to store photos and Office files then you need something in the range of 60GB but no more. If you plan to store many video and audio files then a 220GB hard drive would be more appropriate.

5. Another very important thing to consider, which many people overlook, is how often do you replace your computer? This is very important because most new computers come with a special OEM license for Microsoft software. As this license cannot be used on any other computers, if you change your computer often then it would be a waste of money to buy each end every one of them with the software and pay for it every time. If you change your computer often it would be wise to purchase a retail copy of the Microsoft software and save money.

6. Buy a ready made computer or create your new computer by selecting all the parts yourself? In my opinion, if you’re a person who changes their computer often then buying a ready made one is the perfect choice for you. If you don’t plan on changing the computer then it would be wise to create it yourself at a local store or even on some sites on the internet. This is because all the big computer companies use proprietary components and if you buy a ready made one it is usually harder to upgrade later.
